Keri Leigh & the Blue Devils' authentic and heartfelt cover version of Son House's 1927 classic "Preachin' Blues," from the 1991 album "Blue Devil Blues." (Malaco Records) To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the band's debut album "Blue Devil Blues," the official Keri Leigh & the Blue Devils YouTube channel is releasing many rare and never-before-seen photographs taken during the recording of the album. Donated to this production from Keri Leigh's archives, these candid photographs were taken by Keri and Mark Lyon in Memphis and throughout the Mississippi delta between 1989-1990. The now-historic photographs depict the delta as it used to be, back before casinos changed the north delta landscape forever in the mid-1990s. Several behind-the-scenes photos also document the recording sessions for "Blue Devil Blues" on a portable 8-track Tascam reel-to-reel in various hotel rooms around the region. According to Keri's notes, these sessions took place during the l! ast two weeks of April, 1990. On this track, Mark Lyon is playing a 1929 National Steel that has been part of his guitar arsenal for 22 years. What Is Hoodia? The Kalahari Desert in southern Africa is a harsh environment that is home to the Bushmen people. This year, held at Arts in the City, Bonifacio Global City - the PZ poi community and their friends brought smiles and love to 50 street children of the VIRLANIE FOUNDATION (www.virlanie.org), an NGO that cares for abandoned, abused, exploited and neglected children. Even for just a few hours, these children had a wonderful time experiencing the joys of poi and flow :) + The company of over 50 volunteer 'ate/kuyas' + Games + A clown, balloon and bubble show + Snacks and beverages + An arts and crafts poi making workshop + Poi spinning tutorial + Contact juggling, diablo and poi performances + Christmas presents + A monetary donation to The Virlanie Foundation = A hear! twarming afternoon of fun and flow for everyone!
