Speaking on Indian Education Congress 2012, Vandana Gandhi ; who was one of the esteemed panelists of ' Building a serious business case for early learning' said," I actually have a very difficult view point on early learning viewpoint , because all my thoughts have come from experience working with young children in my school in Dubai. I run a chain of pre-school called British Orchard Nurseries and we follow the national curriculum which closely follows the offset guidelines which is a regulatory body in UK" She further brought forward very important point as to what the curriculum should be and how it is different while dealing with small children. She highlighted an important observation, about the playful mind of a child and how this should be tapped , citing an example she said, " Play way methods must be incorporated to tap up into the young learners imagination , in a research study undertaken in the US the children who were asked to stand still in attention and the ! average time recorded was only two minutes however when the same children were asked to stand in attention pretending to be a Chinese or US soldier the average time recorded was eleven minutes.
